Just 20 minutes from the city, beneath Tolsti vrh (834 m), lies the Celjska koča ski resort, covering over 4 hectares. While considered a smaller ski area, it offers everything larger resorts do – two modern ski lifts with a combined capacity of 900 skiers per hour, a high-quality artificial snow system with compact snow, and night skiing thanks to full lighting. At the base, there’s a children’s slope with a 60 m conveyor belt. Beginners of all ages can take their first turns with certified instructors, which is why visitors have long voted it one of the best small ski resorts.
